The Fauna Cowl Knitting Pattern: Classic Lace For A Stunning Design

The Design Concept Of The Fauna Cowl Knitting Pattern: Elegant, Classic Lace & An Ode To Shetland Lace Knitting

When designing The Fauna Cowl, I had in mind to incorporate classic Shetland lace knitting, with pretty lace details throughout. The Fauna Cowl is an ode to classic Shetland lace knitting, and includes classic stitches for this. The body of the cowl features beautiful, gentle waves that flow up into lacy peeks, and the top and bottom edges of the cowl have a large scalloped edge. cozy and elegant, this knitting pattern is super easy to follow and is suitable for advanced-beginner knitters. The knitting pattern equips you with highly-detailed written instructions, a schematic with measurements, links to numerous photo and video tutorial content, a stitch glossary, and more! The only stitches required are only simple knit stitches, so it's really a breeze to work through, making it a fun and easy knitting project!

We produced a short film about the design process for The Fauna Cowl that we posted to our YouTube channel recently that you can watch here. In that video, I show a lot of behind-the-scenes footage from my design experience for this cowl.
