The Design Concept Of The Rosewood Cowl Knitting Pattern: Mesmerizing Bobbles With A Pop Of Color
Classic knit ribbing and sequences of mesmerizing, textured knots flow harmoniously while gradually shifting colors amidst a background of classic stockinette stitches, making The Rosewood Cowl a truly delightful and enjoyable accessory to knit. With its subtle pops of color and hypnotizing texture, this cowl knits up very quickly while keeping the knitter captivated by the simple pattern repeats and engaging color changes from the variegated yarn.
The initial design concept for The Rosewood Cowl was for a delightfully textured accessory filled with subtle shifts in color, and I believe I brought that concept to fruition with the finished cowl. I design most of my patterns using more natural, earth-toned yarn colors, so it was really fun incorporating this colorful variegated yarn for The Rosewood Cowl knitting pattern. The knitting pattern was so fun to design, and I found that the rhythmic flow of the simple pattern repeats had me completely hooked from the start. Watching the colors gradually shift and change was so fun, and the texture was such a dream to knit. It was really one of the most fun patterns I've designed and knitted in awhile, and I really hope you will like knitting it as much as I did. Knitted seamlessly in the round and suitable for beginner-knitters, this knitting pattern equips you with highly-detailed written instructions, a stitch glossary, links to numerous video and photo tutorials for reference, a schematic with measurements, and more. If you're wanting to knit a unique and stunning cowl scarf (that's very relaxing and addicting to knit!), then The Rosewood Cowl is definitely for you.
You can also grab this knitting pattern on Ravelry, Etsy, and LoveKnitting.
More Details Of The Rosewood Cowl Knitting Pattern: Construction, What's In The Knit Pattern + More
The Rosewood Cowl is knitted seamlessly in the round bottom up on circular knitting needles. I specifically designed this cowl to be suitable for beginner knitters and to incorporate only the simplest of knit stitches and technique. You will knit with two different yarns (but fair-isle or stranded knitting is not required) and there will be zero ends to weave in at the end (yay!). You will alternate yarn colors every few rows. This knitting pattern is very simple to follow, and you will start out with a classic ribbing in a base-color yarn. You will then use a variegated yarn of your choice (all exact yarn and materials are provided within the pattern) to create the bobbles. They aren't your typical knit bobbles though; they are way easier to knit and take less than half the time. Instead of a typical knitted bobble which is created in one setting at one time, The Rosewood Cowl doesn't require this; the "faux bobble" is created over the course of two rows with only the simplest of stitches so that the project remains speedy! I love the look and appearance of knitted bobbles on a finished accessory, but they take so long to make. So I specifically designed The Rosewood Cowl to have the look and appearance of knitted bobbles but without any of the fuss!
