The Design Concept For The Tiramisu Shawl Knitting Pattern: Eyelet Lace With A Classic Triangle Shape
The design concept for The Tiramisu Shawl was to create an easy and fun knitting pattern that creates a lightweight triangle shawl to drape over the shoulders on a cool spring or summer day, and could also double as a cozy triangle scarf during the fall and winter months. I also had in mind for the shawl to lean slightly more "boho-chic", so I chose yarn with earthy tones and colors, that sort of ended up resembling Tiramisu! I wanted the actual body design of the shawl to look like layers of Tiramisu, which is why I knitted this shawl in yarn that had a variety of brown colors instead of one color flat.
Additionally, I designed little eyelet details every few rows of the shawl, to add extra texture and dimension, and to also make the shawl drape better and have a more airy, lightweight feel. The eyelet details every few rows were then additionally added to the outer edge of The Tiramisu Shawl, as well as the center of the shawl to tie it all together. What resulted, is a classic triangle-shaped shawl that is easy to knit and perfect for beginners!
